Kita pilot — teacher task schedule
All tasks below are for the attention of the teacher or computing lead at your school. Tasks marked case study schools only apply to a subset of participating schools.
Week of 8 June
Access your school’s Kita instance
You should have received a link to your school’s Kita instance by now. If you haven’t received it, please let us know as soon as possible so we can get this to you.
Week of 15 June
Set up your school instance
- Add your students and class groups to your school’s Kita instance.
- Choose one lesson to be formally assessed during the pilot.
- Once you’ve chosen your lesson, you’ll set up the assessed activity in Kita — we’re happy to help with this if you’d like support.
- Complete the pre-pilot survey (includes the research study consent section).
Week of 22 June
First lesson & assessment setup
- Run your first lesson using Kita with students.
- This session is about familiarisation — helping students get comfortable with the platform before the assessed lesson.
- Confirm your assessed activity is set up in Kita and ready to run next week.
- Case study schools only: Collect signed parent and student consent forms for the case study.
Week of 29 June
Assessed lesson & post-activity surveys
- Run the assessed activity with your students in Kita.
- Ensure post-activity surveys are completed by students (and yourself, if applicable).
- Case study schools only: Case study interview takes place this week.
Week of 6 July
Case study interviews
- Case study schools only: Case study interviews continue this week if not completed in the week of 29 June.
